Am I? Am I Really?!

Yes, you've guessed it....I'm 24!! To be completely honest I wasn't all that thrilled to be 24. Why? Well, it means that I have 6 more years til I'm-do I dare say-(gulp) 30, and I'm 1 year away of being half a century old!! If I'm having this hard of time turning 24, I'll probably have a nervous break-down when I'm 25!

Other than the feeling of being one year older (but not so wiser), my birthday was excellent! On the table were about 4 gifts just anxiously waiting for me to open them! But, John only allowed me to open one present and I'd get to open the rest after work! HUH? Unfortunately I did have to work but my office took me out to lunch and the doctors were so kind to pick up my tab! :)

(John really does spoil me!!)

After work I rushed home to get ready to go out to dinner with my wonderful husband at Bajio's. I opened up the rest of my presents and had a scrumptious chocolate peanut butter ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins!! SO GOOD!!! I'm salivating just thinking about it!!

(notice the name on box! uh, who's "Don"?!)

So, that was my whole birthday bash! Thanks to everyone for the birthday phone calls, birthday texts, and birthday wishes!!!

Here's a few pics of my birthday presents from
my Johnny Boy:

Two pairs of high heel shoes, 3 shirts and a Willow
Tree figurine that I have wanted forever!!

And these gorgeous flowers were
delivered to me at work from my
hubby!! Thanks Sweety!!

Rob's Surgery

Yesterday my brother had surgery on his back to cut the bulge off one of his discs. Rob was sent home a few months early from his mission because of this and my parents have tried everything they could think of to fix the problem, hoping to avoid surgery. Eight months have come and gone and nothing seemed to work so surgery became the only option. This poor boy has suffered and endured pain long enough. We are just hoping this is the miracle we've been waiting for.
The doctor said everything went well and Rob was released from the hospital within a few hours. He is sore, as can be expected, but is getting better. The incision is small but they did have to go in from both sides to remove the bulge instead of just going in on the one side they thought they could.
Rob, we hope you have a fast recovery and that this will cure you.

Papa Saun...

...Wise and Noble One! This is just one of many nicknames I call John's dad! And it makes me laugh every time! (You have to say it in a Chinese accent or it's just not that funny) Anyways-Brucey (another one I call him), flys for Queen Bee as a fire dropper.....er? I know that's not right but if there is like a field fire he flys over the field and drops this red powder fire retardant on it.....Or something like that!!

On occasion Bruce will take John flying with him. I was looking through our pictures the other day and noticed a new folder and had no idea that these pics were in there! John loves flying with his dad and sometimes John even gets to fly the plane himself! I know that someday that John would love to get his pilot license! And why not?
