Girl Get-Together

Last night (Tuesday) a few of my girlfriends from high school got together for a couple of hours. It was so much fun! Thanks Jen for hosting-her and Mark had bought a new house and I have to say that I am extremely jealous of her!!! Her house is beautiful and decorated so cute.
It's always a laugh when we all spend some time together. We talk about high school days, what everyone is up to, anything new going on, and then of course we go off on our little tangents that have nothing to do with the conversation and just start laughing over the most ridiculous things! I love it!!
We usually get together every month but we haven't done it for a while and it was way overdue! This time it was just me, Jennifer, and Cherice. Bridget we missed you and hope you'll be at the next one!! I hope you girls had as much fun as I did!

Motorcycle Mania!!

Today (April 18-Saturday) John had a motorcycle race at Noise Park. This was his first one-ever! He's always wanted to do some racing with his bike and it was so fun to watch him doing what he loves. The race was called an endurance race which meant that they had to see how many laps they could do in 2 hours on a 5-6 mile course! Talk about endurance!! There were about 20-30 bikers in John's group and he made 10 laps and came in 12th place! I was pretty proud of him! Not bad for a first timer! I was in charge of the video camera (obviously) and I recorded just about everything John did-so in advance I'll apologize for ALL of the videos!! These are mostly for family members who missed out on the race! :)
Baby chickens and a grandchild are obviously more important than a son-in-law!! Just kiddin mom and Ashley!! He! He! Hope you enjoy the pics!

And they're off!!!! John is in the 2nd row,
3rd rider from the right (#4)

I think this was the start of the First Lap

Before the race-I think John looks
so HOT in his riding get-up!!!

Before the race-my dad and robert came to
watch John as well

After the Last Lap

There was a part of the course that went
through a canyon-jagged riding!

Whoa~Nice helmet hair!

Y-OUCH!! Battle Wounds!!

The price you pay for riding around for 2 hours!

Very proud wife!! Good job Johnny!!

I'm just glad that he made it through the race
alive and without any major injuries!!

This is the last video....I swear!!! :)

Again, I'm sorry for all of the videos! But, I did warn you and this was John's first race! Maybe I was too over-excited! Oh well! I hope you all enjoyed!!! I sure did!!

Easter

This year the Easter Bunny didn't show up to our house! Whoops! I don't have any Easter decorations whatsoever-not even baskets! Oh well-I guess I could go a couple of days without candy. I was starting to feel kinda bad that I didn't do anything for John, but then I had to keep in mind that Easter isn't about how much candy you get, or the gifts-it's about the Resurrection of the Savior.
Easter weekend was fun with or without eggs, bunnies, and candy. My cousin Tanner had his mission farewell and all cousins, aunts and uncles were there to support him! I love family get togethers! He will be leaving this Wednesday for the MTC. And on Saturday, my cousin Kara had her baby shower! She will be having a little girl in a couple of weeks! I'm so excited for her and Levi and can't wait to see their new baby!

Movie Night

Friday night John and I were sitting on our couch watching tv (same ritual every weekend-well, that's what it feels like anyways!) and so we decided to order a pizza from Craigo's and rent a movie. We rented "Marley and me" What?! Not "Twilight"?! :) Don't want to get too burned out on the movie!
Anyways, "Marley and Me" is such a cute movie! And a tear-jerker! I think I cried about 3 times during the movie and John even cried! I think it reminded him of having his own puppy not so long ago...may he rest in peace!
For any of you dog-lovers out there, you will LOVE this movie and for you non dog-lovers (like myself) it just gives you a little reminder of why you don't like dogs! It makes me want a dog even less than before! If you've seen the movie-you know what I'm talking about! That dog is a terror! And if you haven't seen it.....it really is a cute/funny movie! I know you'll like it :)

Temple Date Night

Tuesday night John and I went to the temple with his parents to do some sealings. It was wonderful, I haven't ever done those before. Confession: John and I haven't been back to the temple since our wedding! I know-it's terrible! I was so excited but also very nervous, too. Flashbacks of when I took out my endowments were all I could think about! It was a great experience and also very traumatic! I was in tears (not of joy, of complete embarassment) before the session was even half-over! I did EVERYTHING wrong!!! And I hate being embarassed-which made it a whole lot worse-I don't handle embarassement very well...at all!
So, in preparation that I didn't screw up again, I asked John to explain everything that would be going on-which he did-and he also said "if all else fails, my mom will be there to help you." No worries, right? Wrong!! Linda and Bruce had gotten there before John and I showed up so I had to do everything by myself! Ya know-those gold little stickers for "first-timers" don't work!! They should be big, flashing neon signs instead! Everyone just assumed that I'm a good mormon girl and go every weekend like I'm supposed to and left me to fend for myself! Anyways-like I said this is the first time I had ever done sealings and had no clue where to go. The women's dressing room, I suppose? Quick question-Where would that be?!
I get my temple clothing on-not knowing that I had to put everything else on and just start aimlessly wandering inside and that's when I hear "Sister! Sister! Where are you going?" I was like-This cannot be happening!!! So, I go back into the women's dressing room and finished getting dressed and the matron took me to the sealing room where everyone was waiting for me!
I'm not really sure how much detail I can go into but I really enjoyed doing the sealings. I had told John what had happened to me and all he could do was laugh! Thanks hon.
Aside from the embarassment I had a really nice time at the temple and I hope John and I can make this a regular. Afterwards, we went and ate at Chilis (always a favorite).
